There are not words to explain the intense frustration these sums caused me. I did however work out the angles of the triangles that make up my arms of the chair. I think.

refinement
From my 1:1 mock up I realised some big problems with the workings out of angles and how they translate onto the flat pack. I am determined to get these right as there would be nothing worse than cutting out the x-board only to find it doesn't fit together properly. For this reason I set about re-learning Pythagorus and encountered my worst nightmare.
